Zoeva Make Up Artist Brush Set

In truth I have had my eyes on an entire make up brush set for the last year, possibly even longer, and Zoeva has been at the top of the list for various reasons. With the relaunch of my drag career just around the corner and several performances scheduled throughout February and March (click here for Toronto show dates) I found there is no better time than now to invest in high quality brushes to help me create stunning make up looks. After ordering the Zoeva Makeup Artist Zoe Bag during the Black Friday Deals I have been in complete awe and finally tried and tested the brush set enough to give you lovely readers my honest review. I wanted to share with you the reason I decided to invest in the Zoeva brand, what my first impressions are and a complete run down in what is included in the bundle.

Zoeva

Zoeva is a German brand founded in 2008 by Zoe Boikou.
Zoe was born in Greece and moved to Germany at a young age. The brand name is composed of ‘Zoe’ the greek name for life, and ‘Eva’ a tribute to the first woman. At it’s core Zoeva is a beauty brand committed to empowering women and their efforts go beyond make up as they partner with charities and organizations such as DKMS Life and Caritas Frankfurt that support women facing domestic abuse, cancer or homelessness.

The reason I decided to invest in a complete brush set by Zoeva is not that complex: the brand offers high quality, luxury make up brushes at a far more affordable price point than other brands on the market. The brand spares no expense in creating high end brushes that are hand made and can help you create and tell your story beautifully. The tailored shapes make a dream for blending, especially eyeshadow which can be tricky to new and make up connoisseurs alike. The brand is cruelty-free and does not conduct animal testing. Although not all brushes are synthetic and some are mixed with treated goat hair, the website states no animals are harmed during the making of these brushes.

Now for the important part…

My Honest Review

I truly believe this make up kit can be used by professionals and beginners alike. It holds every make up brush you need for creating just about every look you could possibly think of. The presentation of the bag and brushes is excellent and the materials used are durable and feel luxurious. Most importantly they work like a dream, making blending easy to manage and more intense looks such as cut-crease suddenly becomes second nature.

My favourite brushes (so far…)

101: Luxe Face Definer
Hands down my favourite face brush – ever. From any brand.
The overall shape and size of the head makes it incredibly easy to sweep through large areas, while also able to tackle smaller, compact areas.

110: Face Shape
If you suffer from large pores or wrinkles this brush will become your holy grail. It works amazing at blending foundation into common problem or difficult areas, for myself I like this to blend foundation into the sides of my nose.

142: Concealer Buffer
The tension and rounded shape of this brush make it an absolute dream when it comes to blending concealer onto fine lines and problem areas.

223: Petit Eye Blender
An amazing brush for creating more artistic looks, if you consider cut-crease looks artistic that is.

231: Luxe Petit Crease
With the wider head and slight tension it makes a dream for both pushing in pigment and sweeping it out.

Whether you are a beginner or instagram worthy level of make up this brush set will tick all of the boxes for you and help you create stunning make up looks every time. Now that I have my Zoeva make up brushes I need one (or two) of their incredible eyeshadow palettes to add to my fast expanding make up collection – let me know in the comment section below if you have any recommendations and be sure to check back on my blog soon as I have even more announcements and exciting news coming soon.
